One day, Z and Mr H exclaimed, “How did X get onto the sofa?”
My response was, “He probably climbed it?”
Z was amazed that X could scale the sofa. Mr H was rather excited about the milestone too. Only I was a tad slow to grasp that X had mastered a new skill on his own.
Then I recalled during Z’s time, we had made a big deal of teaching him how to get on and off the sofa. When it was X’s time, I hardly blinked an eye. My bad.
However, I had the luxury to enjoy his cute expressions and moves to get on the sofa. I still loved the innocent determination and look of ginger satisfaction.
