We booked the tennis court to let Z attempt basic strokes of tennis. He had been briefly exposed to this sport and I thought it would be good to assess how interested he was. He had always gone on and on about how he wanted to learn soccer.
In the end, the boys brought their mini soccer balls down and ran around the court.
We were mildly surprised by how X, a 17.5 month old toddler, was able to “run” and kick the ball. He was mimicking really well.
Eventually, Mr H and I took over the tennis court and played a short game while the boys busied themselves with their beverages. They sat at the bench and cheered whenever one of us missed a shot.
I was impressed that they were able to stick to the sidelines obediently and not wander into the path of a flying tennis ball. It looked like we would be able to resume playing racquet games regularly. We should be looking to book badminton court with our Active SG credits soon.
