Swapping seats

After nearly 2 years, I had regained my front passenger seat. Initially, Z had been pretty upset but X welcomed his new seatmate with so much zest that Z became quite happy.

X was cheering and kept going “Kor kor, kor kor!”

He kept trying to chat Z up with his baby language. We truly felt quite guilty towards X that we had not taught him as much as we had done so during Z’s time. That probably attributed to late speech. Now that Z was sitting with X, we asked Z to teach X a few common words.

It was hilarious listening to Z teaching X.

The first 2 days when they sat next to each other, they yakked throughout the journey. When it was dark, X indicated that he was afraid and Z held his hand till we reached home. It was a really sweet moment.
