At the turn of the year, we thought X was a little different. It seemed as though he had matured.
He understood what we said.
He laughed along with our jokes.
He made grunts and sounds as though to respond to our conversation.
He started to “ask” questions. He would drag me to one side and point at something. If I had given an appropriate reply, he would nod and move on, else he would look rather impatient.
He developed a deep, throaty laugh.
He was able to interact with Z.
He became even better at beckoning people.
Well, that had been 2 weeks to turning 2. Cliche but so true, how did all that time fly away when we were having so much fun?
